10 Matches To Make After BKFC 15

Updated: Dec 20, 2020

BKFC wrapped the year on top after four successful events in September, October, November and December. We are already looking into 2021 and what could possibly go down in BKFC, so here is a list of 10 matches to make for 2021. If you follow us on our Instagram page I am sure you have seen some of the match-ups we have been pushing and promoting, all according to stats and fighters calling each other out. This list here is a bit more technical; We chose fighters and where they stand in each division, these match ups should determine who really is on top of the each division.

1. Alan Arzeno vs Brad Kelly (165 lbs)

Both fighters are 1-0 in the shallow 165lbs and a win could bring either fighter into contention to face Joe Elmore, the #1 guy in that division. Arzeno is coming off a win at BKFC 14 over Fred Pierce via stoppage due to a knee injury. Brad Kelly was impressive in his BKFC 15 debut where he TKOd his opponent in the 1st round.

2. Lewis Rumsey vs Bill Dieckhoff (Heavyweight)

Both fighters are also 1-0 in the heavyweight division and both had similar wins on their debuts. Seems like they're both in the perfect spot to face each other.

3. Eddie Hoch vs Isaac V Flagg (155 lbs)

Hoch looked impressive in his first fight at BKFC 14. He threw the most punches ever thrown in a round (not sure if this is a fact) and defeated his opponent via TKO in the 2nd round. Vallie-Flagg is an experienced fighter with only one loss inside the squared circle to the current champion Luis Palomino. It would be interesting to see these guys face off; a win could determine who is at the top of the 155 lbs rankings.

4. Julian Lane vs Jake Bostwick (175 lbs)

These guys are calling eachother out on social media and have agreed to a fight. It's now up to Nathan Shook and Mr Feldman to make it happen. Lane has proved he will fight anyone at any weight class and Bostwick seems to want to go down to 175lbs. Weight shouldn't be a problem and this would certainly be a treat for the fans.

5. Uly Diaz vs Thiago Alves (185 lbs)

Uly Diaz respectfully called out MMA legend Thiago Alves to faceoff at 185lbs. Both Florida men should put on a show at BKFC 16, in February where the organization plans to put on a great card. This fight just makes a lot of sense right now, both guys are ranked up high on our KnuckleKnockouts Official Rankings and should fight to establish who really is on top.

6. Joe Elmore vs Leonard Garcia (165 lbs)

The Hitman Elmore might have to go up and face some bigger guys while the 165lbs division builds up but in the meantime he plans on facing the also exciting, MMA veteran Leo Garcia. According to Elmore when he spoke to us at BKFC 15 he and Garcia have been in the talks for facing off. This fight would definitely be a candidate for fight of the year.

7. Kenmon Evans vs David Rickels

Kenmon Evans established himself as the top 175lbs fighter in BKFC after back to back first round KOs wins. It's now time for Evans to face a high caliber fighter and David Rickels being a newcomer but also a MMA veteran could be the perfect opponent. Rickels won a Unanimous decision on his debut at BKFC 13. A fight against a young and confident Evans would determine who is the number 1 in the 175lbs.

8. Reggie Barnett vs Dat Nguyen

Unfortunately this fight didn't go down in November but it has to happen in 2021. As Reggie Barnett told us, he does not like Dat Nguyen and this is personal. Nguyen feels like he deserves the shot at Johnny Bedford which makes sense because he was scheduled to fight Bedford at BKFC 14 but Bedford had to pull out due to a back injury. Nguyen IMO needs to get past Barnett first and settle their beef before he gets to fight for the belt. This fight is also a treat for BKFC fans, you could expect a little bit of everything when these two meet.

9. Arnold Adams vs Josh Burns

Arnold Adams has taken a long break but still remains at the top of the heavyweight ranking. During his break many other heavyweights took the spotlight and rose to the top. Josh Burns is one of these guys who came in and is now at title contention. Burns is a great opponent to welcome Adams back into the division and a win for either fighter should put them as the number one contender to face either Joey Beltran or Sam Shewmaker.

10. Gabriel Gonzaga vs Mark Godbeer

It is unsure if Gonzaga will return to the sport but as of now he is ranked in our top 10 heavyweight rankings. Gonzaga had a very good first fight in BKFC, knocking out the MMA veteran ‘Big Foot’ Silva. Mark Godbeer was looking to face Sam Shewmaker at BKFC 15 in a title contention fight for the heavyweight belt. Due to COVID Godbeer was forced out and on the same fight card we witnessed Josh Burns knockout Chris Sarro and take Godbeer's spot in line for a title shot. A fight between two UFC veterans like Godbeer and Gonzaga could be one of the best heavyweight fights of all time in BKFC.
